Vila Galé Launches a Boutique Hotel in Belém for COP 30

Vila Galé Collection Amazónia – Belém

With an investment of R$180 million, the Vila Galé Hotéis group is starting the construction works of its first development in Belém, Pará. The Vila Galé Collection Amazónia – Belém will begin operations in November 2025 with the aim of meeting the hotel demand of the United Nations Conference on Climate Change (COP 30).

The hotel project has been carefully planned to meet environmental standards, ensuring that both the restoration and the operation are sustainable and responsible.

This new project will be a boutique hotel, located in three former Porto Futuro II warehouses – warehouses 8, 8A, and 7, each covering more than 2,000 square metres. The development will have 206 rooms and will offer a complete and sophisticated infrastructure, including a restaurant, a bar, the Satsanga Spa with a heated indoor pool, and three outdoor pools.

“This hotel will be entirely inside warehouses, which makes it different from all the other developments in the chain. We’re going to keep the existing horizontal format, with the aim of preserving the original architectural integrity, as well as the volumetry. We’re not going to impact on the landscape. It will be surprising”, explains the Vila Galé group’s founder and CEO, Jorge Rebelo de Almeida.

Warehouse 8, located on the banks of Guajará Bay, will house the reception, lobby, spa with heated indoor pool, restaurant and bar. The upper floor will have rooms and two meeting rooms for social and corporate events.

Warehouse 7 will be dedicated to rooms, both on the ground and first floors, and will also have another meeting room. Warehouse 8A will feature a lounge area, a library, and the remaining rooms.

The hotel’s outdoor area will be an additional attraction, with two swimming pools for adults and a children’s pool equipped with a water park, offering leisure options for all ages.
