Vila Galé is launching a podcast

“My trip would make a podcast” features several well-known faces and is hosted by João Paulo Sousa

The Vila Galé group has just launched a podcast about travelling, with the participation of several well-known faces such as Cuca Roseta, Paula Lobo Antunes, and José Luís Peixoto. Alice Vieira, Mariana Seara Cardoso, Jorge Gabriel, Tiago Bettencourt, Vítor Sobral, and Pedro Couceiro also confided in us about what they experienced and learnt on their adventures around the world.

Entitled My trip would make a podcast, it is hosted by João Paulo Sousa. It can be heard on the main platforms, such as Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, Vimeo and YouTube.

In this initiative, the participants also talk about how their travels have an impact not only on their personal lives, but also on their professional lives, inspiring innovative artistic creations, motivation, enriching the characters they play, or experimenting with new flavours, for instance. Together, in laid-back and genuine conversations, they explain how multiculturalism is reflected in their work and personalities.

The first episode features the testimony of Fátima Lopes

The first episode, presented yesterday and recorded at Vila Galé Ericeira, features the testimony of Fátima Lopes. The next eleven will be broadcast every three weeks, always on Tuesdays.

In addition, each participant chose a charity and social responsibility organisation to donate €250 to, highlighting the importance of travelling in a mindful and sustainable way.

“When we travel, we always end up carrying good stories in our luggage. That’s exactly what we wanted to highlight when we started thinking about having our podcast, which is the first to be launched in Portugal by a hotel brand. By bringing together the testimonies of these 12 participants, all of whom are excellent communicators, we ended up hearing stories that were very entertaining, but also inspiring and that show the relevance of travelling and opening up horizons. But they also alert us to the importance of sustainability and of connecting with and respecting the destinations we visit. These are values that are in the DNA of the Vila Galé brand”, says the group’s CEO, Gonçalo Rebelo de Almeida.
