Tribute Concert to Women

Tribute Concert to Women

The event brought together more than 200 guests and highlighted the opening of Vila Galé Collection Amazónia

Vila Galé, in partnership with the Lisbon Metropolitan Orchestra, promoted a Tribute Concert to Women at the Auditorium of the Lisbon School of Music, located on the Benfica Campus of the Lisbon Polytechnic Institute. The event brought together more than 200 guests and symbolically marked the beginning of a new phase of the group’s expansion in Brazil.

This cultural moment signalled the approach of the opening of Vila Galé Collection Amazónia, in Belém do Pará, whose theme pays tribute to women. The new hotel will have its official inauguration on 31 October, coinciding with the period of the Círio de Nazaré.

Under the direction of maestro Pedro Neves, Artistic Director and Principal Conductor of the Lisbon Metropolitan Orchestra, the concert celebrated the role of women in the arts and in society. The programme featured performances by Portuguese tenor and producer João Mendonza, a pioneer of the pop-lyric style, and Anabela Brito, a Vila Galé collaborator who fulfilled her dream of singing accompanied by an orchestra. The evening also included poetry readings by actor Eurico Lopes.

During the event, the Group’s President, Jorge Rebelo de Almeida, highlighted Vila Galé’s commitment to promoting cultural experiences that complement its hotel activity, emphasising the group’s recent expansion in Brazil and the projects that mark the next phase of its growth. Among these are Vila Galé Collection São Luís, Vila Galé Collection Maranhão, Vila Galé Coruripe Alagoas, Coruripe Nep Kids, Vila Galé Collection Tejo – Quinta da Cardiga, Vila Galé Collection Penacova, Vila Galé Miranda do Douro, Vila Galé Paço Real de Caxias and Vila Galé Almada Carvalhais.

The concert concluded with a cocktail reception where wines from Santa Vitória, a Vila Galé Group company dedicated to the production of Alentejo wines and olive oils since 2002, were served. To mark the occasion, an exclusive rosé wine was launched, featuring a label developed by the Group’s design department, incorporating the lotus flower symbol — a reference to the feminine universe that inspires this tribute.
