New resort in Cuba is opening

Vila Galé Cayo Paredón is an All-inclusive resort with 638 rooms in a paradise destination!

In the heart of the Cayos region, a pristine, almost unexplored area with warm, crystal-clear waters and soft, white sand, lies the imposing Vila Galé Cayo Paredón, Vila Galé’s first all-inclusive resort in Cuba. The new unit opened in October during the “Destinations Fair” organised by Gaviota Turismo, a Cuban tourism company, which was attended by around 2,000 renowned players from the world tourism trade, including operators, travel agents, airlines, and journalists.

The resort is located in Cayo Paredón Grande, 25 minutes from Jardines del Rey airport. The site is regarded as a Caribbean jewel that stretches along the north coast of the island, along the famous Los Cayos archipelago. The exuberant beauty, coupled with the resort’s robust structure and the high standard of service provided by the Vila Galé Group, the welcoming people, and the rich Cuban culture, promise to provide unforgettable holidays for guests who immerse themselves in this experience.

“Vila Galé is expanding and Cuba was chosen to be our first destination outside Brazil and Portugal. It is a challenging endeavour, but we’re very excited because Cuba is a tourist destination of tremendous quality. In addition, this investment complements Vila Galé’s offer in Portugal and Brazil, allowing us to put our experience in managing all-inclusive units into practice in another country”, emphasises the Vila Galé group’s founder and president, Jorge Rebelo de Almeida.

Das Resort mit einer bebauten Fläche von 48.500 m² ist so konzipiert, dass es verschiedene Arten von Besuchern gleichermaßen anspricht: Entspannung für alle, die sich erholen wollen, Animation für diejenigen, die auf Unterhaltung aus sind, und Angebote für Familien, die für ihre Kinder unvergessliche Erinnerungen schaffen wollen.

„Zur Anlage gehören drei Pools für Erwachsene und einer für Kinder. Alle befinden sich in der Nähe der Wohneinheiten. Einer der Pools bietet Attraktionen und Aktivitäten für alle, die mehr Unterhaltung suchen, der andere ist eher für diejenigen gedacht, die die Ruhe bevorzugen. Außerdem haben wir einen wunderschönen Panoramapool, der sich hervorragend für Fotos eignet. Der Kinderpool ist an den Nep Kids Club angeschlossen. Es handelt sich hier um ein einzigartiges Konzept“, sagt Alexandre Magno, der Direktor des Hotels.

Der Club Nep ist ein Ort, der Kindern zwischen 4 und 12 Jahren vorbehalten ist. Hier werden pädagogische Aktivitäten wie sportliche Herausforderungen, Basteln, Tanzen, Kochen und Gymkhanas angeboten, die stets von ausgebildeten Betreuern begleitet werden. Daneben gibt es einen Kinderspielplatz und einen Pool. Das neue Resort verfügt auch über den „Espaço Galera“, der für Teenager gedacht ist.

Unterkünfte sind geräumig, gut ausgestattet und komfortabel. Es gibt 638 Zimmer, davon 620 Standardzimmer von 34 m², 16 Deluxe-Zimmer von 40 m² und zwei Suiten von 57 m².

Die Einrichtung verfügt auch über zwei Pergolen für Massagen am Strand, eine davon für Hochzeitsfeiern, Veranstaltungsräume, ein Nautikzentrum mit Ausflugsmöglichkeiten zu den Cayos und Katamaranfahrten, einen Tennisplatz und Multisportanlagen.

Gästen den Aufenthalt so angenehm wie möglich zu gestalten, verfügt das Resort über eine Wechselstube, einen Minimarkt mit Souvenirs und Toilettenartikeln sowie ein medizinisches Zentrum.

In dieser ersten Phase hat das Vila Galé Cayo Paredón mehr als 300 Arbeitsplätze geschaffen, die zu 99 % von Kubanern besetzt. Es wird erwartet, dass diese Zahl im nächsten Jahr auf 465 steigt.

In terms of gastronomy, the unit will have seven restaurants: the main one is Versátil, where breakfast, lunch, and dinner are served in buffet format; Massa Fina, an Italian-themed restaurant; Inevitável, à la carte, with Mediterranean-influenced suggestions; and Cervejaria Portuguesa, with traditional Portuguese delicacies. Also not to be missed is Taste of Ciego, which offers guests traditional Cuban food for a full gastronomic journey.

The beach restaurant El Ranchón serves red meat, fish, seafood, and snacks. Vila Galé Café offers light meals throughout the day.

The variety of drinks, a trademark of Vila Galé resorts in Brazil, is also present at Vila Galé Cayo Paredón. Water, juices, soft drinks, wines, cocktails – including traditional Cuban drinks made with rum – and beers are available at five bars: Fidélio, Soul & Blues, Splash Bar, Mentiroskas, and the Beach Bar.

“There will be options for all palates, but we would like to point out the local food, which is a true gastronomic experience for guests. The cocktails have gained worldwide fame, the best known being Mojitos, Piña Colada, and Cuba Libre”, explains Alexandre Magno.
