Gastronomic Festival – Vila Galé Salvador

Vila Galé has great news for food lovers.

Between September 25 and 28, Vila Galé Salvador, in Salvador (BA), will host the Porto and Northern & Central Portugal Gastronomic Festival.

The event will feature typical starters, main courses and desserts from the cuisines of Porto, Northern and Central Portugal, prepared by Francisco Ferreira, Vila Galé’s executive chef in Portugal, and Fernando Neves, chef at Vila Galé Coimbra.

The buffet will offer delicacies such as Bola do Douro (also known as Bola de Lamego), made with cured ham and paio, a traditional Portuguese cured sausage, whose origins date back to the 19th century; Pudim Abade de Priscos, an unusual dessert made with pork fat, perfectly balancing sweet and savoury flavours; and many other delights! Traditional codfish has not been left out and will be served as Bacalhau à Minhota, a variation in which the fish is fried and served with potatoes and peppers.

The Porto and Northern & Central Portugal Gastronomic Festival takes place during dinner, from 6:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., and tickets can be purchased in advance through Sympla.
