We will need:
- 250g of sugar
- 250ml of Versátil Tinto (red) wine
- 100ml of water
- 5g of cinnamon quills
- 5g of star anise
- 20g of lemon peel
- 550g of small Rocha pears
Preparation method:
1. Bring the red wine to heat, with the water, the cinnamon quill, the star anise and the lemon peel.
2. Let it simmer for 10 minutes
3. Add the whole pears, peeled
4. Cover the pan and let it cook until they are soft when pierced with a toothpick
5. Remove from heat and allow to cool to room temperature
6. Serve the pears with a portion of the syrup they were cooked in
It is now ready to serve!
