Group climbs in the global ranking of the world’s largest hotel chains
Until 2027, the Vila Galé Group plans to open nine new properties, expanding its presence in strategic regions of Portugal and Brazil. “We are investing in projects that promote tourism, combining history, culture, and sustainability. The goal is to always deliver a truly distinctive experience,” highlights Jorge Rebelo de Almeida, founder and president of the group.
In Portugal, five new hotels will be inaugurated: Vila Galé Miranda do Douro, Vila Galé Penacova, Vila Galé Paço Real de Caxias, Vila Galé Tejo (at Quinta da Cardiga), and Palácio Almada Carvalhais, in Conde Barão, Lisbon. In Brazil, the network strengthens its presence with four new projects: Vila Galé Collection São Luís, Vila Galé Collection Maranhão, Vila Galé Collection Coruripe Alagoas, and Vila Galé Nep Kids Coruripe Alagoas, dedicated exclusively to children.
With these new developments, Vila Galé will reach a total of 61 hotels and 12,764 rooms by 2027.
From the renovation of historic buildings to the construction of impressive all-inclusive resorts, Vila Galé demonstrates that expansion and identity can go hand in hand.
