Located in the heart of the historic centre of the so-called “wonderful city”, guests can now choose to book their stay either in the palace that houses the Collection Wing or in the Lapa Towers Wing, which integrates the accommodation units in a more modern style.
The Vila Galé Rio de Janeiro hotel, which opened in late 2014, is located in the historic centre of the capital of Rio de Janeiro, more precisely in the Lapa neighbourhood. The 19th-century palace, which houses the Collection Wing, was recovered and revitalised by the Portuguese hotel group. To accommodate 292 suites, the hotel also has the Lapa Towers Wing, a 13-floor tower with a modern style in a contemporary construction.
The entire decoration was inspired by samba, bossa nova and Luso-Brazilian culture. As it is also very close to the city's financial district, it also has a convention centre with eight rooms for holding different types of events.
