The Portuguese brand Vila Galé will arrive in Spain at Easter 2024 with the opening of a hotel in Isla Canela (Costa de la Luz, Huelva)
With direct access to the Isla Canela beach, the future Vila Galé Isla Canela will have 300 rooms with balcony, two swimming pools, two restaurants, three bars, including one at the pool, Satsanga Spa & Wellness with indoor pool, gym, massage rooms, Turkish bath, sauna, and hydromassage pool, a children’s Nep Club, event halls, and stores. The gastronomic and entertainment offer is very much geared towards families and couples.
Saint Croix HI, the SOCIMI (Sociedades Anónimas Cotizadas de Inversión Inmobiliaria, in Spanish) of the Pryconsa Group, will carry out the refurbishment to implement the new Vila Galé Isla Canela hotel in an existing hotel unit, which will undergo a full renovation, carried out in several phases.
The unit will begin operating under the Vila Galé brand in April 2024.
“We are very excited about this challenge in Spain. We believe that Isla Canela is a destination with a lot of demand and potential, and that we will be able to develop the Spanish, Portuguese, and other European markets. This new unit will allow us to strengthen the group's quality offer and international presence, especially in terms of beach and family tourism”, says the CEO of Vila Galé, Gonçalo Rebelo de Almeida.
“At Saint Croix HI we are very proud to be making a very special property available to enable Vila Galé to open its first hotel in Spain, which will be a guaranteed success both because of the experience and good work of the hotel company, and because of the quality and location of the property, on the seafront, as well as the benefits of the Isla Canela destination”, emphasises Marco Colomer, CEO of Saint Croix HI.
Vila Galé is currently the second largest Portuguese hotel group, with 31 hotels in Portugal and ten in Brazil. The most recent units opened this year: the Vila Galé Collection Monte do Vilar (Beja), in April; and the Vila Galé Collection São Miguel (Ponta Delgada, Azores) and Vila Galé Nep Kids (Beja), in June; and in July the Vila Galé Collection Tomar, in the city's historic centre. Recently, it also announced its entry into Cuba, scheduled for October.
