New boutique hotel in Belém, Pará
With an investment of R$180 million (Brazilian reais), on 6th June Vila Galé announced a new hotel in Belém, Pará.
The event held to sign the Vila Galé Amazônia - Belém Installation Agreement was attended by the founder and president of the Portuguese chain, Jorge Rebelo de Almeida, Governor Helder Barbalho, and other authorities.
The boutique hotel will take up three former warehouses of Porto Futuro II: 8, 8A, and 8B. The unit will have 206 rooms, a complete structure with a restaurant, bar, Satsanga Spa with heated indoor pool, and an outdoor pool.
“I'm thrilled to be arriving in the north of the country and even more so to start renovating these large warehouses, each 2,000 square metres. It's a project unlike anything we've ever done”, emphasised Jorge Rebelo de Almeida.
Work will begin in the coming months and the hotel is expected to be open for the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP 30), which will be held in Belém in November 2025.
