This year, the Vila Galé group invested 4.5 million Euros in the renovation of its hotels in Portugal.
Among the main new features, we would like to highlight the opening of the Tertúlia Bar, which includes a balcony and terrace overlooking the sea, at the Vila Galé Collection Palácio dos Arcos. This five-star unit, by the coastline road in Paço de Arcos, also has a new reception, whose entrance was made by a square with a monumental staircase, where there is now a large balcony with a terrace.
At Vila Galé Clube de Campo, near Beja, a chapel was built from scratch, confirming the group's commitment to increasing the weddings services offer. This chapel, integrated in the landscape dominated by vineyards, orchards and olive groves, is an option for rural ceremonies or with the wine theme.
Also, the recently inaugurated new Massa Fina artisanal pizzerias at the hotels Vila Galé Collection Praia (Praia da Galé, Albufeira) and Vila Galé Estoril - where this concept replaced the restaurant Inevitável Vinhos e Petiscos - are part of this year’s renovations.
In turn, Vila Galé Albacora, in Tavira, now offers a children's pool with slides, as well as a playing field and new equipment for the little ones. The ferry jetty to the Island of Tavira has been rebuilt and improved. And there was an enhancement of the hotel gardens.
“With the renovations and improvements we make every year, we are aiming to maintain quality standards, but also surprise our customers with new concepts, experiences and products. In hospitality, you must always be aware of the trends, emerging innovations and the changing needs of the guests. That’s why every year we make a point of investing in the renovation of the Vila Galé hotels”, explains the Portuguese group’s CEO, Jorge Rebelo de Almeida.
Among other changes, we should also mention the introduction of showcooking and the full renovation of Vila Galé Tavira's restaurant, where 100 hotel rooms were redecorated and the outside of the entire building was painted as well. In turn, at Vila Galé Ampalius, in Vilamoura, the reception and the indoor swimming pool were refurbished. The mythical Dog & Duck bar, inspired by a traditional Irish pub, at Vila Galé Cerro Alagoa in Albufeira, was completely renovated, including the terrace. Live cooking also became available at the restaurant of Vila Galé Náutico (in Armação de Pêra).
In Évora, at the Vila Galé Évora hotel, you can now enjoy an outdoor jacuzzi and a larger leisure area by the pool.
And the health club of the Vila Galé Ópera hotel, in Lisbon, was completely renovated, as well as the reception of Vila Galé Estoril.
This year, the refurbishment of the rooms of Vila Galé Ericeira was also completed. And the exterior of the Vila Galé Porto building was fully painted again. A new showcooking area was also introduced in this hotel.
