The party took place at Vila Galé Fortaleza, the first unit of the group in the country
Vila Galé celebrated 20 years of presence in Brazil last Saturday (20/11) with lots of entertainment, and announced some news for the Fortaleza unit, the group’s first in the country.
For two decades, the group has been present in Brazil’s main tourist destinations, with nine hotels, five of them being resorts.
“These 20 years represent a journey of great growth and learning. We knew that this country has a lot of potential. Given our linguistic and cultural proximity, expanding Vila Galé to Brazil ended up being a natural step. And, since the opening of the first hotel, we have been growing, and now we are the largest resort network in the country. I am immensely proud that, throughout these years, we have created a company that is strong, has solidarity, and is governed by ethics, social responsibility, and closeness among all who are part of the Vila Galé team”, said the founder president, Jorge Rebelo de Almeida.
Businesspeople, politicians, authority figures and personalities from the tourism sector attended the opening of Cervejaria Portuguesa, as well as four new restaurants that expand the variety of gastronomic experiences: Inevitável, Massa Fina, Sushi Lounge and Versátil Buffet Internacional (International Buffet).
The children’s area also gained more options, with the opening of a swimming pool with slides, a trampoline circuit room, NEP Club and a Playground.
The event was attended by the directors of the hotel chain in Brazil and Portugal.
In 2022, the Vila Galé hotel group will open the Maceió unit (Vila Galé Alagoas) at the end of the first semester, which represents an investment of around R$ 150 million (Brazilian reais) that will create more than 600 direct jobs.
