Santa Vitória Rosé Seleção 2023, Medalha de Ouro no CMB 2024
“We are very proud to have received this Gold medal for our Santa Vitória Seleção Rosé 2023. This wine is the result of great teamwork and dedication, from harvest to bottling”, says Marta Maia, the winemaker behind the Santa Vitória team.
Santa Vitória is proud to combine the most advanced winemaking technologies with the added value of traditional techniques, by preserving, for instance, grape stomping and manual harvesting.
Casa Santa Vitória's Rosé Seleção 2023 comes from the Baga and Trincadeira grape varieties and is ideally served between 8º and 10º. Ideal (and perfect) to accompany cold salads, seafood, fish dishes, and smoked salmon, it is a wine made from two grape varieties, in which the Baga was harvested manually and carefully selected before being processed, and the Trincadeira was harvested with the Rosé's aromatic component in mind. Santa Vitória Seleção Rosé 2023 is a wine that is as expressive as it is elegant and delicate!
The main ambition of the CMB - Concours Mondial de Bruxelles is to offer consumers a guarantee: to distinguish quality wines, true pleasures to consume and taste from the four corners of the world and within all price ranges.
Portugal made a name for itself as a producer of great rosé wines with 32 medal-winning wines, representing almost a third of the Portuguese wines entered.
Of these 32 wines, 14 won a gold medal and 18 a silver medal. The Portuguese region that won the most medals was the Alentejo, which was awarded 13 medals, 10 of which were gold.
Santa Vitória, founded by Jorge Rebelo de Almeida, is part of the Vila Galé Group and produces top quality Alentejo wines and olive oils. Founded in 2002, and as a result of a passion for the vineyards and olive groves of the land they were born in, from the very beginning it intends to harvest and create what is produced best in the Alentejo passionately and rigorously.
Visitors can get to know the Santa Vitória vineyards, olive groves, and orchards, which have nearly 627 hectares of plantation. You can also follow the entire production process and end your day with a wine and olive oil tasting, with the option of staying at the fantastic Vila Galé Alentejo Vineyards & Olive and enjoying all the wine-themed experiences on offer at the Clube de Campo estate, such as Wine-themed Dinners in the barrel cellars, wine and olive oil tastings, introductory tasting courses, cookery workshops, and more.
